Nikolaj Stagis is author of highly acclaimed The Authentic Company (Den autentiske virksomhed in Danish) and CEO of Stagis, a corporate branding consultancy focusing on development of authentic identity, based in Copenhagen. Nikolaj has developed a theoretic framework on how to find and develop the authentic identity of a company. The case studies in his book include such brands as Hästens, Absolut, Lego, Noma, Novozymes, BMW, Alessi and Ducati.
Nikolaj founded his company Stagis A/S in 1997. He is adviser on corporate strategy, organizational culture, visual identity and corporate communication. Stagis helps clients such as Arla, Copenhagen Business School, Deloitte, HP, Novozymes, OKI Printing Solutions, University of Southern Denmark, the Danish Ministry of Culture, and the Municipality of Copenhagen. Stagis was awarded the Danish Communication Award 2011 for the project Bus Drivers with Character for the Danish bus industry.
Nikolaj was originally a graphic designer (member of Danish Designers), he holds a Master of Management Development (MMD) and teaches at numerous universities and institutions such as Copenhagen Business School, the Danish School of Media and Journalism, Roskilde University and University of Technology, Sydney.
Speaking
Nikolaj Stagis is an experienced speaker and appears at conferences and meetings to inspire companies, organizations and industries on the development of authentic identity, corporate branding, strategy and positioning. His primary interest and focus is the development of business, identity, organizational culture and brand as one strategic effort that changes businesses into what he calls “authentic companies”.
Writing
Nikolaj Stagis is author of numerous articles and reports. His first book, Den autentiske virksomhed, was published on Gyldendal in Denmark 2012. The Authentic Company is expected to be published internationally in English during 2013.
