Ton consults organisations on increasing the effectivity of knowledge work, networked learning, and social media tools adapted to a fast paced and information overloaded world.

Most projects are around starting, fostering and facilitating Communities of Practice, as well as other elements of an organisational knowledge infrastructure. Several other projects looked at innovation of education, both in higher and primary education. Ton also worked as a guest lecturer on knowledge management in higher education.
